Some things have changed since the preliminary rankings. Some guys had some big wins, and other guys changed weight classes. Check ‘em out and voice your opinion.

I decided to take someone’s advice recently and post “preliminary” rankings, and let you guys pick them apart, then I’ll release official rankings next week.

It’s been about 6 months since we released fighter rankings, and I’m sure there will be some surprises in this one. To start, some of the usual names are gone…either because they are under contract with a national show, or because they haven’t competed in a while.

It was a very busy four months for some weight classes, and very…very slow for other weight classes. There was a ton of changes to 145, 155 and 170, but 185 and 205 were nearly dormant. Only a couple ranked fighters fought at 185 and 205, thus only slight movement. I’m sure there will be [...]

I’ll give my usual disclaimer…we don’t have a set criteria or point system for these, so a guy who is 5-0 could be below a guy who is 4-1 depending on the quality of the win, and how recent it was…and it’s very possible that we feel a guy ranked at #8 can beat the [...]

To start, we removed the HWT division from the rankings because there are less than 10 local HWT’s and most of them aren’t that active. Some of the best HWT’s locally are like 2-0 or 3-0 and there simply aren’t enough guys to rank. We also cut 205 down to 5 fighters for the same [...]

We removed all fighters who are currently with the UFC, or exclusively with other big organizations.
There were tons of fights between ranked fighters since our last rankings, thus there was a ton of movement for some guys.
