Cage Titans Fighting Championship Media Day/Open Work-out:

What- Members of the Media are invited to view open workout, have photo opportunities and one on one interviews with fighters and trainers. Cage Titans will also be using this day to film the hype videos for the upcoming event, Vengeance on April 1st.

Event Details:
April 1st Main Event features a battle for the 135lb title between New England’s #2 ranked Tateki Matsuda from Sityodtong Boston and #10 ranked Barrington “Rude Boy” Douse from American Martial Arts Academy. In the co-main event: Undefeated #10 ranked 170lb fighter, James Boran from Mad Dog BJJ/Connors Martial Arts will be making his way down to the 155lb ranks to take on “The Violence” Anthony Kaponis from American Martial Arts Academy. Kaponis was originally slated to take on Joey Proctor but injury cause Proctor to pull out. When asked about the opponent switch Kaponis said, “I want my belt I don’t care who I gotta break to get to it!”

In the amateur ranks, The number #1 ranked 170lb fighter, ‘The Water Buffalo” Ricardo Georges takes on ‘The Flu’ Keegan Hornstra for the Cage Titans 170lb amateur title. No one locally has wanted to step in the cage as of late with Ricardo and Keegan pushed back his Pro debut for this opportunity! Also a new champion will be crowned in the 155lb amateur division as well when #4 ranked Joe Pignitore from Team Rockstar steps in the cage with #6 ranked “Ill” Will Chan from South Shore Sportfighting. Both guys are known for their knock-out power so be sure not to blink!
 
Cage Titans will also be holding a raffle at Vengeance on April 1, 2011 for a “MMA Fan Package” including two front row tickets for the next Cage Titans Fight and product donated by vendors to benefit Pancan.org.  Fighter Eddie Lee from Sityodtong Boston brought this organization to Cage Titans attention, Lee who will be battling it out with Stephen Langlais from JKBA, has recently lost a family member to Pancreatic Cancer and wanted to do something to raise awareness and funds for this cause. Raffle Tickets will be sold at the fight, TapoutT Boston has donated T-shirts and the first 100 people to purchase $10.00 of tickets will receive TapouT T-shirts. Cage Titans has generously agreed to match the raffle money up to $500.

These and many of the other fighters on the April 1st Vengeance card, as well as their trainers, coaches and supporters will be coming to this event so be sure to stop by.

***Cage Titans would also like to extend the invite to any other local fighter that would like to attend. Prefered if you RSVP, but also ok if you just show up!

March 13th Team Link & Friends BJJ Tournament
Team Link & Friends 3rd BJJ Annual Tournament
Dear Professor, instructor, student, friend

It is with great pleasure that we cordially invite all of you and your students
to participate in the Team Link and friends BJJ tournament scheduled for Sunday
March 13th 2011 doors open at 10 am. Schools friends with Team Link are welcome
to participate in this highly lauded and exited event, taking place in the
beautiful town of Ludlow, MA.

The tournament is going to be Gi for white, blue and purple belts only. Adults
and Kids are welcome to compete!

It is our wish that through this competition each participant gains a better
understanding of where he or she is along the journey of self-discovery that is
grappling / Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

It is our belief that this competition will enable all of us to learn things
about our selves we have not yet recognized, and grow from the experience,
regardless of who wins. Additionally, no same day registration will be permitted
to ensure an orderly and timely progression of events, registration end on
Saturday March 12th at 1PM.

We will be hosting a free BJJ seminar for all participants with a BJJ Black Belt
Alexandre “vaca” Moreno that will join us to help spread the BJJ techniques. It
is our hope to see all of you and your families at this event. We pride
ourselves in to displaying a proper Martial Arts attitude.

Medals for all 1st, 2nd,3rd places.

Booth from Team Link and Arena Fight Club will be available for fight wear.

Cage Titans: Mayhem is this Friday night, January 28th at Lombardo’s in Randolph, MA.  Featuring a main event of Barrington Douse vs Christian Rivera, plus a monster 17-fight undercard that includes many of the best amateur prospects around, make sure you check this card out.

You can get your picks in all the way up until 7:00 on Friday night, and the fights are set to start at 7:30.  Worth mentioning is that fighting on this card is Ruben “Rukus” Rey, currently 4-1 with a monster KO over his last opponent at CES in December.  Rey also crushed the pre-fight predictions for that card, going 7 of 8 and topping the entire leaderboard.  He also went 9 of 13 at the last AFO card and is looking like one of the local fight-pickers to beat.

Combat Zone 36 is next Friday night, January 28th at Rockingham Park in Salem, New Hampshire.  Featuring a main event of Calvin Kattar against the undefeated Luiz Rodrigues, plus a loaded card of 13 additional announced fights, it is set to be a solid night of action.

The card is posted and ready for everyone to begin entering picks.  First place at the last event (AFO New Years) was Tyson Chartier with 11 of 13 correct picks. 2nd place was Mark Hoxie with 10 of 13.  Last place was someone named chunkjitsu who was a sad 0 for 1.
