* Severoni landed the more effective strikes in the beginning of the round and did defend the four takedowns, however Rodriguez was controlling the pace of the fight, had better ring control and did attempt the four takedowns and finished strong with a nice knee to the body. A rematch between the two would be incredible.

Round 10-9 Petrucelli
Winner: Aaron Petrucelli by UD
* I do not think there is any possible way to describe this fight. It went back and forth with both men appearing to be in trouble at certain points. I was surprised both men came out for the second round. It was clearly the fight of the night and a definite candidate for Fight of the Year. I really hope there will be a rematch.

Round 1: The two shake hands in the center of the cage and they back off. Kavey lands a few leg kicks while Varner tosses an uppercut. Kavey backs up and swings wildly as he charges in. Round 1: Spiegal comes out and tosses a leg kick while the Dexter rushes in for the clinch. In the clinch, Dexter lands a few knees and gets the takedown. Dexter lands a few good strikes in Spiegal’s guard. Spiegal gives up his back while Dexter easily takes and tries for the RNC. Spiegal is able to escape and almost takes the back of Dexter but loses it. Dexter then tries to take the back again but Spiegal grabs his leg. While Spiegal is trying for the single and pushing forward, Dexter lets out a loud scream holding his foot (I think Dexter rolled over his ankle). Spiegal does a nasty back flip off the cage after the fight. Next time, I hope he does it with his Miller Lite can in hand.
Winner Jerry Spiegal by TKO 4:59 of Round 1

Winner: Paul Gorman by Triangle Choke 1:15 Round 2
Overall, it was a great night of fights. The “chick fight” was very close and very entertaining along with the possibility of Chris Ramos vs. Aaron Petrucelli as Fight of The Year. I hope rematches of these two fights occur again. The whole event went smoothly (minus the kid dancing in the ring between every fight). After the event, I came to the conclusion that I am going to “quit my day job” and just follow the local MMA scene. Can’t wait for the next show!
