It was originally announced that the grappling tournament in Ithaca was 8/19/06, but the date was recently changed to 8/12/06.

On top of having the regular divisions (which have double elimination), there are also 2 chances for competitors to leave with some $$.

First, there is a pro division with a weight limit of 170 that has a cash prize of $1,000.

Second, there is a team competition, with the winning team getting $1,000. Basically, there are 5 weight classes. Under 145, 160, 175, 190 and 190+. You bring your best guy in each class (for a total of 5 guys). The team that wins the team competition leaves with $1,000.

The facility is the best I’ve ever seen for a grappling tournament, and the price is certainly right. I hope to see all of you there.
