It was a helluva fight card. The Oteri-Moreau fight was fight of the night, in my opinion. Solid bout with both guys giving in their all. They emptied the tank. A tough decision for Tom – I had the fight going his way, 29-28.

Kevin did a great job standing them up when action slowed on the ground, too. Kept it moving and the action in the stand up was spectacular.

It was my first time covering a Combat Zone show, and I’ll say this, it was the best experience I’ve had at any show to date. The action never stopped, the fights were solid and the atmosphere and crowd were great and full of energy all night.

There’s a reason these guys have been around for as long as they have, they do it right!

I will admit Dave George has done a great job with Combat Zone. He has put together some very good shows.

Fun fights I think the 135lb amateur fight was fight of the night. It was action packed and back and forth.

Magno Almeida is the real deal and he will be tough for any local 155 to beat. I wouldnt be suprised if he gets the call to WEC or UFC.

The Oteri Moreau fight went like this, rd 1 Tom hits Oteri hard and Oteri looks dazed, Oteri takes Tom down and works just enough to avoid the stand up- Tom doesnt take any damage and Tom looks frustrated

Rd 2 Oteri takes Tom down and mimnics Rd 1

Rd 3 Tom beats the snot out of Oteri on the feet. Oteri tries for some failed takedowns and butt flops on some. I am suprised Tom doesnt push the pace to finish him as I though he was down on the scorecards (Oteri is a tough bastard)

I had Oteri winning the 1st and 2nd round as Oteri had the takedown and fought on top with out either fighter doing much on the ground. Tom dominated the 3rd round,

That of course is just my 2 cents…
