After a couple short weeks, CFX is back with CFX 10 from the Jungleplex in Plymouth, MA, and this marks the first time amateurs will be used under the new sanctioning body in MA. I’m not sure you all realize how significant that is. All eyes in the local MMA world will be watching how these amateur fights go. All shows were dealt a crushing blow when amateur MMA wasn’t allowed, as shown by the small crowds and the depleting bank accounts of local promoters. With so many shows, it’s nearly impossible for everyone to run all pro shows, as the cards get spread incredibly thin, and promoters that normally have no problem getting 13-17 fights struggled to get 8 or 9. How this show plays out will have a great affect on local MMA…on top of that, we get the fight everyone has been waiting to see-Pat Schultz vs. Scott Rehm.
Make no mistake about it, Rehm and Schultz hate each other. There are guys that don’t like each other, but these two are well beyond the “not liking him” stage. Whether it’s the fact that they run schools in the same area, the fact that they used to train together, or the fact that Schultz called Rehm a “cigarette smoking bum” on the mic at a recent event, the hatred is real and the time for talk is over. I’ve heard rumors of a “winner takes all” purse as well. This is going to be fun. I’m not even going to get into their ground games, because lets face it, neither guy is trying to submit the other. With the exception of a late takedown to steal a round, these two will want to stand in the pocket and trade shots. In my opinion, Scott is the more technical boxer, but Schultz throws more kicks and will have a reach advantage. I think the more it turns into a brawl, the more it favors Rehm, but if Schultz keeps his distance, it’s going to be hard for Scott to get inside. No matter what, this one will have lots of face punching, and one of these guys leaves the cage madder than hell.
Chip Moraza-Pollard takes on Lionel Young in what should be a fun fight. Chip is undefeated and has a recent win over Mike Littlefield. He seems to be right on the verge of breaking into the top 10, and a convincing win here could do it. Lionel is 3-2 as a pro, and is coming off a great effort in a loss over rising prospect Abe Pitrowski. Young will look to get this one to the mat as all 3 of his wins are by submission. Chip has a couple knockouts, and will have the advantage standing up.
Also making their return to the cage are popular fighters Mike Zichelle and Keith Jeffrey.
Here is the full card:

what the hell kind of match-up is :
Mike Zichelle 4-1 vs Glenn Reaves 0-4 ?
or
Keith Jeffrey vs John Downey?
No wonder there isn’t much of a write-up there. what do you say? well, here we have a guy that is one of the best 185lbers in New England facing off against a guy who has never won a fight….
Commissioner, please explain your stand on allowing this fight to happen, i’m intrigued.
although i will say Rehm vs Shultz is a great fight.
Gonna be a hot night saturday. Cannot wait for Schultz vs Rehm, ya not much love lost there. Pat’s ready, this will get ugly, the time for talking is done. Although I am not a big fan off Scotts, I have to respect the fact that he backs his words up and actually jumps in the cage, unlike many local MMA instructors that have not even competed in a cooking contest. Chip Moraza- Pollard is going to show the fans Saturday night why he belongs in the area 170 top ten. Good luck to all the fighters.

That video was fucking hilarious….if you haven’t seen the original, go to youtube and search for CFX Schultz and it’ll pop up, then watch this one. Fucking hilarious.
if you look close at the video you can see scotts face pressed against the window in wendies with a triple in one hand and a marlboro in the other !! lol this should be fun ! scott can go for a good half a round , pat is ripped and ready ! scott looked frazeled at the weighins tonight . kind of a gray white color . not sure if he is ill or he is haveing a bad reaction to the stomach stapling . what do they do with the left over skin ?? mabee they can use it to graft over that big stupid wagon wheel on his back !! lol alright all kidding aside , ………… well i was going to say something nice , but i just cant do it !! sorry , bleed out reim !!
Have to admit that was a cool video. Lmao. Although Matt, you shoulda played me instead of some midget mascot you guys keep around the gym. Fireside chat’s on the way. Yeah baby!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fa4GnNigmMc fireside !!
yes folks and more fireside chats to come in the future !! lol
Good stuff between these camps…funny shit!!! I hope the fight lives up to the hype!! I gotta add one thing, I was watching the firesise chat, and The Hammer reminded me about Rhem’s head spike win. I argued it last time, and I’ll say it again, Rhem DID HEAD SPIKE Stengal!!!!!!!!!!!! There is no other way to do it??? Sorry Kevin the ref, and all others who argued the other way, but I will say forever, that was a headspike if there could ever be on in the sport!!!!!!!

Thanks for the update Mark!!! How did the amateurs go with KICK?? Dwayne Pipe was right about those 2 match-ups too eh? Sounds like some good fights though, can’t wait for the review.
KICK was an absolute joke. Despite being licensed as a pro fighter in 4 states(including MA) and 2 countries, being a licensed pro cornerman in 4 states(including MA) I still had to sit there and prove to KICK that I was worthy of their make-believe license. I produced all other physical licenses on the spot. On top of that, they had the nerve to charge $30 bucks for some B.S. card covered in magic marker and act like they are official.
The guy running KICK was crying about being non-profit and for the fighters and blah, blah, blah.
I could be wrong on this, but doesn’t KICK sell promoters insurance separate from the insurance required by the pros? Plus $90 bucks ( 3 cornermen at $30 each) per fighter, what the hell are they spending money on?
When it was time for KICK to sign off on fighters’ gloves they are nowhere to be found. What a joke.
I would never have paid them if they hadn’t told us that all licenses would be checked upon walk-out. Never once did I show my license to anyone.
What an insult that I have to explain to some KICK rep why I think I am able to corner our ammy fighters.
Come on.
JC
Amateurs went fine. I was happy to see they used the same refs for the amateurs and pros.
There were good fights… a little controversy. I’d usually have a write up, but I’m getting on a plane soon so I’ll make it short here. The stoppage in the Rehm vs. Schultz fight was pretty bad. If you remember Pat’s fight with Fernando Rivera, Fernando knocked Pat down early. Well the same thing happened here, but when Scott went to follow up the ref stopped the bout.
It was a flash knocked down, Pat was alert and obviously upset at the call. The crowd wasn’t too happy either. I felt bad for Scott, who really couldn’t get through his post fight speech with all the booing.
Refs have a tough job and need to make quick judgment calls. No one is perfect, but I was disappointed with how the fight ended up because of all the hype leading up to this event.
You have to give credit to Scott for landing the right which dropped Pat in the first place. rematch, perhaps?
I agree Rehm landed a nice short right cross, knocked Pat down,Pat was alert ready for Rehms groun and pound, but the ref stopped the action a little too soon. I realize the refs job is not easy and if one of my students gets beat iwould be the 1st to congradulate his opponent but i think it was very quick . good job to Pat and Scott for puting it on the line. Chip what can i say you are a technical machine , great job. Also props to Lionel Young what a tough kid and very humble , stay with it Lionel.
good shit chip hell of a fighter that kid is
no good on the reim schultz fight not even close to over when it was stopped . i think even smokey reim would agree it was a bullshit call . unless he is the man i think he is !!
Congratulations to Chip Moraza-Pollard on winning his welterweight championship title.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znLZYIFf4ak
fight was stopped way to soon pat was kicking rehm off before reff had reaction time!
chip must have been hard for lional to come out that last round !! those kicks were perffect !! you deserve the belt ! cant wail to see you on tv someday !!!
I worked this event for Rick last night so i will have a review up Monday. Im going to enjoy my fathers day today. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads!
I will give my view on the Rehm/Shultz fight as i saw it happen from about 2 feet away. I will say CFX did a very good job last night. Great show!
Sore losers…. Scott not only knocked him out, but woke him back up.
that stoppage last night in the Shultz / Rehm fight was felonious, Shultz was knocked down by a nice punch but was no where near to being in danger,
Sore losers, come on dude lets get real. First off i already stated that was a crisp right hand from Scott, and it did indeed knock Pat down but not out,Pat probably gets knocked down in almost all hi fights, if Pat got knocked out i would admitted he was. Oh well cant win them all, its just that i thought it was stopped too soon, maybe just my opinion.
When is Master Eblans next referee class?
JCLARKE, you better watch your mouth! That “some KICK rep” happens to be Louis Thouin and he has OVER 100 amateur MMA fights! I know because he told me, then the guy next to me, and then the guy next to him, and so on until, as I was leaving, I saw him telling some homeless guy on the park bench outside.
I will say first and foremost that you can now officially see the times changing and the damage being done to this sport. Again,CFX took a hit attendance wise, which is a shame because although the crowd was designated to 3 basic principles, the fights themselves held their own…exept of course the Rheim/Schultz fight. Not in a long time has such an injustice been served, and for Scott to adress the fact that he won that, shame on you. Getting a win, and earning a win are 2 completely different set of circumstances.
CFX has definitely had to adapt to the times as all promotions are doing, and in seeing the differences(no more big screen, fight cards xeroxed, less vendors, seating), I am glad to see that the differencial that fell went to the fight card in return. 12 fights this time, a great amount, all held their own in their respected cases as well, exept for 2 that alot of people figured would end exactly how thet did. Props go to CFX for adjusting a bit, trying to survive in the “Commission Era”. My only complaint from a card perspective…too much introductions in the ring, and announcements, and a few voices rang out from the crowd in not necissarily disapointment but bewilderment! So, not a bad manuvere, maybe just not needed. But when you can put together good matches as CFX did, the whole production follows suite, and as for the result, I believe this was one of the better CFX shows in a while. Good job to Gary, Linda , and of course my newest BFF…Mike Varner…haha.
It was good to see the Ammys back in action as well, Im not too fluent on all the legislation that goes along with them at this point yet, but to their credit, they were some of the more action packed fights of the night, and other then the respected corners of Schultz/Rheim…there was a definite attendance percentage in favor of them as well.
AFO comes up next week, and it should be interesting to see the adjustments made by them as well in forging ahead. Pete DiLorenzo seems to have a decent grasp on whats going on, and I am expecting another good show from them as well. But once again…and I know you think I can sometimes be unfavoring to CFX, I thought it was a great night, and the aspects that were in need of focus were definitely highlighted!
Come on guy’s! I have no horse in this race, and respect both guy’s just for getting in the ring, But for all the crap that was talked for scotty to go out there and take Pat’s best shot and then lay him out flat on his back!! I think he deserves alittle more credit then what he’s getting. I do feel the stoppage was premature as when pat fell flat on his back it looked like he was out although clearly he wasn’t. would of like to have seen if scotty could have pounded him out or how much pat’s ground game has improved. Bottom line here if you get caught and fall down like that all bets are off. Really can’t blame the ref as it looked worse then it was. (imo)
Local mma Fan
Wait, what?! MMAInsider, what the heck does Scott Rehm (not Rheim) have to be shameful of? The Ref raised his hand in victory, he hated his opponent, his opponent I guess talked mad $hit about him; whether the fight was stopped early or not, HE WON, he doesn’t have to apologize or be shameful of a damn thing! What the hell are you saying in your post anyway? You liked the CFX show? Good for you! What is this “Commission Era” you referred to? What are promoters adjusting to? What is the Commission to be blamed for? Fill me in so I can be an “MMA Insider” too…
clearly pat wasnt out, if you look at the video i had posted scott lands a nice right that droped pat but if pat was out he wouldnt put his hands up and kick scott away from him. Chip great fight, young is deffinetly a tough dude.
OK Insider what the fuck are you talking about? It’s been a while since you’ve seen such an injustice served? You talk on here all the time about how much MMA you watch and how everyone should listen to you and take your advice because you know everything but you talk like a dip shit. If that was the worst injustice you’ve seen then you obviously don’t watch as many fights as you want us to believe. And to say shame on Scott? His job is to keep fighting until he’s told to stop. He did that and won the fight and for some random t-shirt guy to try to talk like the fucking authority on mma is a fucking joke. Fights get stopped all the time with people not even getting dropped. If you think it was early, that’s one thing but to say it was the worst you’ve seen and say shame on you to the guy who won is another.
The ref made a huge mistake and everyone knows that..i give props to scotty from hitting him with that shot. but the ref is there to stop the fighters from getting hit continusly..which pat wasnt getting hit at all..scott never hit him after that punch and pats eyes where wide open and he was in a good defencive position. Nobody is blaming the fighters they were doing there job the ref just made a bad call. i personaly as a fan of the sport feel that there has to be a rematch as this curtainly didnt prove anything to anyone. They both are in great shape, the sufferd no injurys in this fight so they should be able to fight asap
Hey Scott Thorson,
Thats awesome. Louis Thouin told me that he reps KICK because there were no ammy ranks when he started so all of his fights are pro. Then he told others he’s has hundreds of ammy fights…?
What a joke.
Aaron Mackinnon vs Tony Roure
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lewKZboZV4s
(I didn’t shoot the vid, just posting it.)
Its understanding that you feel the way you do shane you train under pat, so of course you see it that way, But alot of others do not. i see it as scott jumped on top of pat to unload after he dropped him and was pulled off by the ref, not scotty’s fault, its a good win for him he fought till he was told to stop. But i agree it looked alittle early once pat got right up arguing. but Opinions very, I picked Pat to win this fight no problem I was very surprised. I guess the only way to solve it is to do it again.
Well, the “smarter than you” era has officially begun I see. One more contested opinion behind a mask, as we have all seen previously, as I was part of for a long time as well, lets see if you have the ability to reveal yourself as everyone else has, and leave the masks behind. But to address, your statements in regards to my view and opinion, it was one of the worst stoppages I have personally seen in a long time. For your input as to what I actually watch, I find it quite clever that you can pervey as to my intake first off, as to the fact being laid out…name a worse stoppage that has taken place in the last 6 months, if you can name one, then I will by all means give you your just due.
Secondly, nowhere in any post is it recorder that I ask anyone to “listen to me and take my advice”, dont mince your words, nor do I ever claim to “know everything”. Quite opposite in fact, and the platform to speak your mind as well as opinion is the exact point of this whole forum. Now if we were to turn the tables now as speak of how someone speaks out of turn or misrepresents their words, you would like a pretty blatent fool at this point. You cant call someone out, on something they dont do, through your own false pretenses.
And thirdly, as to the comment of “some random tshirt guy”, it would behoove you again to check credentials before you go throwing out random claims. I happen to hold a much higher place in this sport than just a random t shirt guy, which is as evident in the endeavors that I am engaged in. Be it through promotion, management, or in fact regulated sponsorship of not only MMA fighters(in this state or others), but nationally endorsed music acts, as well as retail avenues in national branded chains, make no mistake as to my legitimate credentials. But, as well in turn, perhaps you hold a higher position, and have all legitimate abilities to cast down upon me due to your superior status in this sport. At which point I will then take a back seat to your opinion and right to express your thoughts, and show you the proper respect due to your more knowledgeable acclamaition.
I do respect your right to voice your thoughts though, and will take such criticism into consideration next time I choose to voice my views. Greatly appreciated!!
I agree with Clarke- as I’m sure anyone else who tried to deal with KICK does. The whole KICK thing is a joke and a massive scam that the morons on the commission bought into. I’m not sure if it’s financial corruption or pure incompetence (I suspect both). Also, the guy who generously donated his time and hyped his own fight resume to anyone willing to listen told me that his uncle owns 13 strip clubs….and judging by his bedazzled blazer I am inclined to believe him. Seriously, nothing like bringing pure class from the mid-west strip club industry into local MMA. That is EXACTLY what we need. We would be so lost without their fees, BS licenses, wisdom, and cautionary tales about the dangers of the champagne room.
BTW the PRO commission did an awesome job too. Approving Keith Jefferies vs. John Downy. stay classy MSAC.
Since you take criticism so well, MMAINSIDER, allow me to offer some also: please be a bit more succinct with your posts.
contry boy you do have a good point lol but in the video pat has his legs on scott and pushes him off then the reff stops it. but yeah i deffinently agree there should be a rematch with a diffrent reff!
As far as I’ve ever known, Louis Thouin only has 2 fights…..Travis”The Villan” Lerchen, tapped him out with a standing guillotine, then he beat Joe Kavey at one of his own NAFL shows….. I must have missed the other 98 or so….
Wow….Thank god I wasnt at the show where he fought Lerchen, only way I woulda left happy woulda been if the ring had fallen through the floor into the third level of hell. To quote David Spade from PCU “Doesnt matter who wins because they are all losers”
haha, OK Kurtmissioner, clever by the way…first let me say that succinct is an awesome anology, and a great word! Tip my hat to you for that one…its not a matter of taking criticism well or poorly though, just defending my right to an opinion, as everyone does, and has. Let me clarify one point though while its in my head at the moment…In no way have I tried to show any disrespect to Scott, and maybe the phrase “shame on you” was either out of context, or just plain the wrong wording. Scott hit Pat with a clear solid shot, everyone and their mother knew it was coming at some point, ever since he was dropped with the same shot by Fernando Rivera. He landed it and Pat was knocked on his ass accordingly, but was not out, was not dazed, was actually in full defense of himself. It was a BAD stoppage, and as many others here seem to think, I dont stand alone in that opinion.
I guess my major gripe would be that when you have such hype, such draw and anticipation, and the fight ends so prematurely, there is a great deal of let down. I stayed there for this fight in particular to see 2 guys who truly hated eachother, end speculation and have a good ol fashioned BRAWL. Now I know that fights dont always end that way or take place that way for the matter, but when they end with one person going down because he was hit in the face, it lends to a great deal of disapointment, as many have expirienced. This was a highly anticipated fight, and the crowd was there primarily for this fight. In my OPINION, and no taking away from Scotts performance, in saying the word ‘shame’, I think its hard to say that Scott ‘beat’ Pat in any clear sense of finality, or decisiveness. Now if Scott grounds on Pat, and KO’s him, then there is no discrepancy at all, and all props go to Scott. I think as fans, we were looking for a decisive victory from one of these guys, and as a collective alot of us feel disapointed by the outcome. So, I apologize for the ‘shame’ comment, in retrospect, maybe that was the wrong wording. But Kurt…I love that word man, way to use that Thesaurus!!
And I chose to use the word Kurt as opposed to the previously used version with the ‘N’ just due to my own mindset…clever name though my man!!
who is the chubby little blond man from from Pro-Elite with the curly pointed 1800′s type mustache that w.as introducing himself as Rehm’s trainer? Have not seen him competing or training in past. Granted, I would never want to judge a fighter/trainer based on looks of physical attributes, BUT WHAT THE HELL WAS UP WITH THAT MUSTACHE?
can anyone say rematch, Ive been told from a reliable source that CFX 12 will be back at the Jungle Plex on Sept 25th. Wouldn’t that be a great night for a rematch
What im seeing here is All of Pat Shultz’ Training partners come to his defense. I dont hear anyone else giving an unbiased view other than Mark Daniels the writer for the Boston Herald. I will wait for the review to come out for another non biased opinion unless someone else UNBIASED was ringside and can chime in.
Another thing, I commend Shultz’ camp recognizing and giving Rehm Credit for the punch that so evidently made the difference in this fight. But, please dont bully other people who are chiming in defending Rehm. They are only doing the same thing you are by sticking up for their friend or whatever their relationship.
Lastly, It is not Rehm’s fault nor is it Shultz’ fault the fight was stopped when it was. a competent skilled referee made the call. one of several he makes a night. He has reffed more fights than any of you have and has to make a call to protect a fighter when “he believes” that fighter is not protecting himself any longer.
Congrats to all the fighters from last night. lets have fun this week and talk about the fights, and then turn our attention to Aug in Brockton. Here is a sneak peak at some of the fighters and there match ups.

This show is” Night Of Champions” in the city of champions
Very well put Dwayne, and I agree. Hope I didnt come across biased, dont think I did. Its true though, emotions get the best of all those who are close to either of these guys. Im leaning towards Garys idea of a rematch…worst case scenario…it becomes a trilogy
I’ll fight Pat for a stale doughnut and a half cup of cold coffee.
Lobo- where is the love down this side of the equator?
Could not see the fight from here even if I squint, Both boys live to fight another day and hug the kids. They will get it on again and sell lots of tickets again-thats all that the promoter wants.
Don’t worry JClarke, those licenses you guys bought can also be used for free admittance and 1 intimate table dance at any of the 13 participating nudie bars that are “in the family”. I wonder if the strip clubs are all amateur, or even better, non-profit!
We will take that fight Aussie. lol. It was a great night of fights, the Surgeon won the title, and now we prepare the old warhorse for Aug 14, against a game Cesario Desouza, can not wait . Phinney i beg you no more videos .
Troy, your a friend and someone I have had tons of great conversation with but your losing me here bro. I like to think that I am an intelligent person, but I find myself skipping through MMAInsider posts because the wording is just to much to stomach, you have great points and a tremendous brain for the fight game. Tune it down a bit and maybe everyone will be more on board with your opinions. Pat did get stopped early, there is no denying that, but he fell pretty hard and I think the referee commited to the stop before assessing the situation once Pat was down for fighter safety, early stop…sure…. worst in recent memory, I don’t think so… It’s a stop that happens all the time, none better or worse really, just early.
MMA insider,
Brother, tell us more about your credentials so we may properly address our like or dislike for your views of such situations. How does one Sponsor a nationally endorsed music act with T-shirts? Who do you manage? What other than your T-Shirt brand and fighters wearing it do you promote?
Under fire under fire….to John I guess your right in a degree to toning it down a bit. I will try to use more of a legitimate conversation aspect, but as you know from talking to me many times on the phone as well, I use good words and have very well pronounced vocabulary. Maybe bringing it down a notch will help others follow as well and not always seem so overbearing, my apologies to all!
As for how one sponsors national bands…simply put, they have a friend who is the singer/manager of the band. Victory Records recording artist The Autumn Offering, who have 4 albums out, and have toured recently with Ozzfest, Slipknot, Disturbed, and the Rock Mayhem tour of last year…will be releasing their 5th album worldwide on August 31. They will tour the Taste of Chaos shows, as well as a leg of the Killswitch Engage tour. Videos featured on MTVthat are set to be shot this year will feature my shirts, as well as the band members being provided with our shirts for tour dates and photo ops. Recently, we at Malevilynce have also been in negotiations with Hot Topic, as well as Newbury Comics, and a few sport outlet shops in California for national distribution. Also we will be a featured sponsor of the World MMA expo in California, which is a statewide event. As for management, not that I directly manage any fighters at this moment, as to say the signiture is on the line, but there will be a few featured guys in the next few weeks that will be under actual management contracts, including(hopefully if he is not drafted) a kid coming out from Iowa, who is a total beast at 125 lbs, and should be able to provide everyone here on the EastCoast some great highlight material. As for promotion…I dont own a promotion company, but as a few individuals can attest to, I am always talking to promoters and adding my 2 cents in and helping any of them that I can to any degree. John Supelveda can attest to that personally, as I have spent many hours on emails and phone convos with him doing the exact thing and helping him contact fighters and set up connections. As I have also done with Bill Murphy from FTG Management in getting some of his guys possible opportunities in California, and as well my very good working relationship with the 2 gentlemen who perhaps manage the best stable of fighters in the area, Tim and BG at Combat Sports. As for other work I do, please feel free to check out a site called firstfightsd.com, where I have an amazing relationship with Mike McClafferty in helping promote that website and also attempt to get sponsorship opps for his development as well. As for the fighters, well Im usually the guy that will step up when no one else will…when nobody was behind Ricardo Funch, Malevilynce stepped in and sponsored him. When nobody wanted anything to do with Nick Newell, myself, my wife and Brian Gillespie spent countless hours on the phone, in meetings, and long drives out to Nick to develop his sponsorship. Ken Avery, an unknown fighter who asked for help, Artie Mullen who needed shirts for his camp…etc, etc…
So Mr Kane, as to my credentials…in no way do I claim to “be all that’ or state that I am the most knowledgeable about this sport, I am just a guy who through the simplicity of tshirts, found an area and a sport that I have alot of passion for ,and try like most involved to add my opinion where I think it can help to try to develop this sport to the best of its abilities. And in certain cases, where it allows, we will step up and help anyone who needs it, even when other companies will not. We try to give all the fighters, regardless of record, camp, stature, an opportunity to feel important, and be represented like they wish to be.
I hope this lends some insight as to what it is we do, please feel free to also check us out at malevilynce.com, and see that we are all about the fighters, be it through charity donantions to their causes, or just to make them feel confident in their representation. I HATE the fact that I name dropped in this post, but when my sincerity is brought into question, as well as my genuine passion for the sport, I felt the need to back up my actions as opposed to saying “thisguy” or “that manager’…so to Bill, Tim and my bad ass brotha BG….sorry if ya didnt want your names mentioned. But I feel you guys know my heart in this matter is a true benefit to the sport;.
Ok, then..no more credentials, no more questions, no more doubting…lets all figure out a way to improve the situation we all find ourselves in in Mass…as fighters, managers, promoters, and yes…even us simple t-shirt guys!!!
You lost me at “legitimate conversation aspect”.
I like to think that I am a reasonably intelligent guy, but to be honest, I struggle to understand exactly what you are trying to say some of the time.
Your opinions, your passion, and your contributions are valued,
But please dumb it down another notch.
@ Gary,
i noticed your announcement for August fights…..
Steve Dunn 3-0 against all 0-forever fighters is finally fighting a guy with a win!
what is the prerequisite to being a heal on your show? Must i know how to spell and put a cup on my dick? Why dont you put him against someone 3-0 or 2-0? i’ll bet there are 20 some odd guys that will fight the sandman.
Well Ryan…”you had me at hello”….hahaha. I just got off the phone with Supelveda…I am gonna dumb it down a bit, mispellings and slang now included. Thanks for understanding and accepting my position though, it is appreciated! Im new to this whole open forum thing to a degree as well, so expressing myself has to be limited to about 5 sentences as well…it the Scicilian in me…I can just ramble….
Dwayne…your too much man…I like your outspoken nature. Your sayin what others are thinking. Dont be afraid to ‘cross that line’!!!
MMA insider BG is now called the GRAND WIZARD OF MMA, his turban is on the way.
I just want to be the first one to say that I am not a “name” worth mentioning and I certainly didn’t want to get dragged into this. I am proud of some things Tim and I have done so far in this sport such as getting fighters we don’t manage contracts, getting a geat kid into the WEC, getting some fighters on to Bellator and Nick Newell will be in Tapout magazine later this month make sure you pick up a copy and count how many times he mentions his amazing management team (zero times to be exact hahah) and hopefully before I die I will get this tv deal on the air. I only mention the few things I have because they all have 1 thing in common, I would not have been able to do anything if I did not have the fighters with the talent to push in the first place. What I am most proud of is that I have been able to stay out of the drama that tends to take place when people either have to much passion or to much time on their hands… So, since Troy brought my name up and at the risk that people will think I feel the same way he does let me clear this up..I happen to love managing the guys and women that I manage…..I have been lucky to have worked with fighters from a lot of camps and in some cases I have worked with fighters that other guys manage because I love what I do…I don’t need the the croud to approve me, I don’t need the 20 people who post on this site to think I am somebody and I certainly don’t need to be a “name” worth dropping. I am lucky enough to be around some people in this sport who have actually accomplished something and no matter how much I do at the end of the day it is the fighters who get in the cage and make it all possible. In other words, I am just a piece of the puzzle that in all honesty can be replaced and in some camps I have been replaced by other managers… it is what it is, but in my opinion the only real problem with the sport right now is there are to many people thinking their opinions and or accomplishments as great or minor as they may be are bigger then what each and every fighter does every time they step into the cage. I am not a fighter, I am a fan who happens to be lucky enough to manage some really great kids, from some really great camps. Again, I don’t care to be involved in this or any of the drama that takes the attention away from the fighters and the sport. as for the CFX show Congrats to Chip for winning the title and in IMO Chip is one of the most talented kids in this area and I am really looking forward to seeing Chip make it to the next level and with coaches like Pat and Mike Gresh I am certain it will not be long. and if you are a fan of the sport, or should I say IMO if you are a fan of the sport you would be talking about him and fighters like him and not talking about who won a 3rd grade spelling bee

Scott said in his post fight victory speech ” I am a fighter, I did my job, the ref stopped the fight.”.
Pat got tagged and dropped like a sack of padaydas. Early stoppage or not, Scott won and is going to Disneyland. Pat stepped in there and fought and came up short, it happens. July 7th Scott is gonna try and win that ab contest Pat talked about when he called him into the ring. Scott good job considering you are a “cigerette smoking, triple cheeseburger eatting bum”. (not my words) The best thing about this fight was the spoof video.
Chip great job, UFC bound for sure. The Surgeon is a well deserved nickname!
Hey there big guy easy on the the fire side chats “Hammer” dont want your blood pressure to spike again. On the edge of my seat waiting to hear whatelse you have to say. Great job to all fighters who stepped into the cage Saturday night.
Steve Dunn has a record of 2 and 0 and Eric Hurd is 2 and 1. Sometimes other organizations don’t post there results so the fighters don’t get the credit they deserve. as is the case with Eric. And there are other times when names get crossed up when they are reported, as is the case with Steve Dunn. He is listed on MMA.tv as 4 and 0, but two of the wins are not his, they are from some other guy named Steve Dunn.
Wow…I don’t come on here for a few hours and shit goes crazy.
“the World MMA Expo, which is a statewide event”…………..awesome!
“negotiations with Hot Topic and Newbury Comics”……. phone calls??
“beasty at 125″……….my wife????????
“not that I directly manage”………wtf?
“videos on MTV which feature our shirts…………band members provided with our shirts” …………………………..lol
Your posts are usually good, but that one was priceless!!!!!!!
And with that, we will call it quits on the thread I guess…haha. There comes a time when ya realize your up against a wall, I do appreciate the humbling experience though, through this thread my eyes have been opened to a few things, and due to a few opinions, I have picked up on a few things and taken a few more under consideration. Take your criticisms with your praises is a phrase I have come to admire…
Dalton, to your post I must say I do stand corrected I guess. How can you build a product or buisness with phone calls and advertising or getting your product to visibly noticed markets?? I must have been a fool to try and market my shirts in such poorly represented channels. Why I would ever make phone calls to major brand stores is beyond me? I should just show up and put the shirts in the stores as a starting point I guess. Im going to look into a better buisness and marketing strategy, Im sure I can find some of your success stories online…I will Google them
Haha, Im glad I have a sense of humor my man, cause as you laughed at my post, you in return left me bewildered and laughing. I thank you for that!
And thanks to all for contributing to the post thread, we made it a great one…see ya all in another thread………………………………………TNT
There deffinently should be a rematch september 25!! Also a good fight that night will be Michael the “Hammer” Mulligan fighting Cody Lightfoot.
MMA Insider what about selling your product at some local shows? Oh and the UFC fan expo in Aug.???????
HELLO! I must be missing something here. Oh no I’m not Blah Blah Blah….
A match-up between Cody and Mulligan should be interesting. I happened to come across the video of Lee Beane promoting has fight against Cody that was supposed to happen last November. Mulligan should take his own advice “I hope you’re not light on your feet!”
lol nope , nor am i light in my slippers !!
Hammer that is a fellonius statement.
It’s all good Insider. Nothin personal, I just love the ball bustin on this site, giving it or taking it. Anytime I see anyone getting caught up in the drama, I have a nasty vice which is to pour some gas on the fire in the hopes of getting a few laughs. At the end of the day I hold no ill feelings toward anyone who loves this sport, which I know that you do, and has a sense of humor. Enough with this, it’s starting to get mighty gay in here. Feel free to swing by the Double Duece and have a beer with me sometime!!
Speaking of giving and taking………
Never personal Dalton, Im always nice…til its time to not be nice! I may just take you up on that offer though for the Double Duece, gonna have to bring my buddy Jimmy with me though and my new boss Brad Wesley, because if history has anything to do with repeating itself, Im sure you will have your buddy Wade Garret down there with ya..”.know what I mean Miho”?? I just cant drink too much though, because that Doctor you been seeing late has a tendancy to jump from guy to guy, and things could get a little out of hand. Maybe it would just be better if we met at some fights, had a laugh, and then headed over to Brads house for a big pool party, and maybe invite Red Webster and the boys over for a night of rockin and rollin…I hear theres a pretty hot blonde who does some serious dance shows when the night gets going!!! Hhahahaha, Dalton…its all good …I love the passion and warfare of MMA in Mass………………
who is the chubby little man with the 1910 handlebar mustache that coaches Rehm, I want some of this instruction, he has trained Rehm well and would love to know where he has fought or what his background is
