CFX 9 “Finally” is set to take place tomorrow, May 28 from the Memorial Hall in Plymouth, MA. Their main event is huge, and will pit top ranked heavyweight fighters Lee Beane and Christian Morecraft against each other for the CFX title. Words can’t describe how cool that fight is. Lee is a dominant wrestler who has basically run through everyone he’s fought with big slams and even bigger ground and pound. Morecraft has a recent win over former HWT kingpin Josh Diekmann (formerly JOSH DIEKMANN) and has shown great submissions for a HWT fighter. I have no idea how this fight is going to go. Neither guy has really shown a weakness in previous fights, and I’m not sure which guy breaks in this one. Either way, someone’s name will be atop the local rankings in all caps.
Bill Mahoney makes his return to action (for real this time) against Fernando Rivera. Bill is fantastic on the ground, and looked big last time I saw him, but fighting at 200 pounds may be a stretch for him. I’d still consider him the favorite in this fight, but Rivera is tough and has very good hands. If Bill is unable to take him down, I don’t think he’ll be able to strike with him…then again, I’ve never seen Bill strike and his ground is so good that I only hear people rave about that part of his game. If Bill can deal with the size disadvantage, he wins this fight.
I love how CFX always has great HWT match ups, and they have yet another. Shawn Galano is set to take on a giant of a man in Bobby Favors. When he fought Jason Dolloff, he made him look small…not kidding. He looked huge compared to Jason. Favors has good hands and solid BJJ for a big guy. Galano will have the advantage in the boxing, and seems to be a bit more violent than Favors. I think Galano will catch him and knock him out, but if Galano allows Favors to clinch him early and often, Favors will take him down and it’ll be impossible to get him off.
Two good submission guys face off when Abe Pitrowski takes on Lionel Young. Almost all their fights have ended by submission and I haven’t seen enough of either guy to know who has the advantage. It should be a ground war though.

great night !!!wow from the first three round decision to the last submission via strikes . all great fights !! congrats to morcraft ! his defence was up to the job ! i went in thinking if lee took him down early it was over . i was wrong lee took him down got side control but morecraft just aint got quite in him !! i love both these guys , very bitter sweet night .
pierre pierry WOW great game , great slams !!controled all three rounds !!!
bill mahoney great win like a spark plug !! great skills !
mark giove great win BUT !!! what the hell was that shit after the fight ???? you got kids out there and a new system everyone is trying to get used to . we dont need a selfish little prick showing his ass out there ! i dont know why you think your thats ok ,but its not , grow up ! gary linda great job again ! thanks for a great night !!!
hammer, prior to knowing the circumstances which led to my “gioveraction”, you should probably zip your enormously large pie-hole and become better informed before you add your worthless two sense…that being said, I DiD let my emotions get the better of me and subsequently appologized for my actions to those I needed to(commision, gary, linda my team, even my opponent who my tirade was not directed at). If you notice though, you are not on that list because you are a washed up, old, meaningless boob, who countless people can’t stand to be around because of your horendous underarm odor…but thanks for giving me an oppertunity to state my piece.
Hmmm…12 fights, 8 in the first round, and the much anticipated heavyweight ‘battle”, over in 2 minutes. Been a while since I have been on and voiced some opinions, but alas, now and then I am always up for some fun and entertainment!!
Coming from the Moosin show last week, which in my opinion was top notch production and fights, it was something Mass needed, and there seemed to be little “commission” drama, which is very much needed. The only real low point was actually seeing our main man Rick Caldwell get yelled at by some 80 yr old guy and told he could”take his shit and go home”…seriously…the old man had some fire, unfortunately he chose this rant to take place in a time of the POLSKA chant, and was barely heard, question being…what was up with that Rick? What did ya do to enrage the old timer?
But seeing a show go like this, so quick…is sad, just like the XCFL show a while back. The actual time of that show was 48 minutes, with all the interview times on Fight Stream, and clips, etc, totalled 2 hrs and 19 minutes. Sad that people had to pay for that, and now another card of first round battles.
Now in no way am I discrediting any promotion, I know how all you loyalists get offended, but its really a matter of good matchmaking needing to take place. I see that XCFL is making huge strides recently to change its direction, which is well needed, since the ever flamboyant Dave ” I wear my sunglasses at night” Diamond had no clue what was going on, and was clearly not there for the fighters as he so prominently professed. I think Donny”damn Im a good looking guy” Mustapha and James”yes I am a doctor” Suchy will do a great job restructuring that promotion. But with a highly anticipated show like CFX coming back after a long hiatus, you would want, or actually deserve more than a card like this. To have a show on a night loaded with travel for holidays, proms, and graduation parties, it impedes the fans ability to keep commitments. Now Im sure a good crowd showed, CFX always has a good draw, but to get people to commit to a show featuring 8 first round bouts, leaves the fans in desperate need for continued action.
I see Mike the hammer here doing his usual ‘great night, great fight” routine and showing his loyalty to his alma mater , but is there any other comments to the true grit of the show, I notice after great shows, the group of NEMMA loyalists are on here with alot of praises…doesnt seem to be any for this show, or is everyone just still hung over @ 11:30 in the mornin?
And to top off the posts, Giove, great sense of class my man, way to represent your camp, promotion and self as an individual. Taking actions that need to be apologized for( to a list of promionent respected people in itself) lends alot to character and class. There is over reaction and then theres wrong reaction. Your camp is a very respected establishment and your trainers are highly regarded in the sport, show some respect to them and the sport, as well as the people who pay you and give you opportunities to showcase your talent…which you obviously have to some degree. But then dont go defend your actions or justify them with a mispelled, uncalculated, poorly grammarized rendition of an explanation…it doesnt behoov you in any sense!
Either way though, in getting my 2 cents in, as usual, to the shagrin of many Im sure. I hope that as MMA in Mass continues to grow under this new commission and learns the new adaptations needed, we see more shows grow and become more fighter orientated, better matches, top contenders facing off, and not alot more “AMMY infused” cards to get promotions more money in their pockets. Yes, amatuer fighters deserve an opportunity to showcase their abilities, and start their careers, but not majority held fight cards. The fans of the sport deserve to see top notched fights, by the guys claiming to be the top tiered fighters(example…Rick Hawn vs Dennis Olsen). THAT will be the anticipated fight that will be considered for fight of the year, and kudos to John Faine for putting together a match like that. Im sure after his first event, the 2nd will follow suit, and if a match like that is any indication of whats to come from Triumph…they are setting a new standard as to what MMA should be looking like in New England!!
It was a great night of fights.
The thing with Mark and Gary after the fight was awful… I thought for a second they were going to fight but cooler heads prevailed. Mark I’m glad you made things right afterward.
This sport has come way to far for crap like that to happen, honestly.
I HAD a great time laST NIGHT. The heavyweight fight was anticipated to be a super match but Moorecraft prepared for Lees game and prevailed, thats how it goes sometimes in MMA MR. MMA INSIDER. That being said props to LEE for stepping up and putting it on the line, iknow Lee will come back stronger. Congrats to the new CFX champ CHRISTIAN MOORECRAFT, this young kid is a raw talent, and is onlygetting better by the day, he is also a crazy bastard, I love it. Perry awesome job you worked hard. Anthony made quick work out of his opponent, another raw talent.Bill Mahoney looked great real slick sub, the ass punches were actually DIM MAK pressure points. LOL,
giove cute responce ! right up there with last nights preformance !lol . listen there is no need for me or any other fan to know why you were an asshole ! knowone cares ! if someone pissed on your popcorn thats your problem not ours .so in the future when your tiny nepolien ass gets upset ,keep it to yourself . your a little looser piese of shit with an ego bigger than you deserve ! so say what you will about me and all that but bottom line your a tinny little wanabee who will never stand out in this sport or any other . so run your little mouth , convince yourself you are relivant , and live your little life . but we both know what you realy are ………(0)
and dont make me go fireside !!!!
8 finishes in the first round could indicate poor matchmaking or it could of just been 8 great fights. I didn’t attend the event but I would rather have 8 1st round finishes than 8 lay & pray decisions. Take the fights on a case by case basis. These things are obviously not scripted. Also, Morecraft and Beane are/were the top two heavies in New England. You get two skilled big men like that together and most likely the fight won’t last long.
fights aren’t scripted? :\
anyways…congrats to jose adriano mello.
gary, whats going on with that 45 belt :}
MMA insider go ahead and use ur big words on me. You are an IDIOT, plain and simple. We will never Know who U R U key board butt plug.
To Mark G. Im sure that greater than 90% of people who do foolish things say sorry at some point afterwards but your behavior dates back to the days when I was involved with Fullforce. Many many many times you had to be spoken to about your out burst and drinking issues. I remember in Brockton at the Shaws center you got thrown out for being drunk and stupid. It was only because of who u trained under and out of respect for them that I insured the security that I would be responsible for u. QUESTION is…. How many times are you going to keep behaving this way and exspect that saying sorry is enough.
Even last night I had to be spoken to by the commissionn about your behavior well before the night started. I assured you personaly I would handle the situation and asked you to stop acting up infront of the crowd… but you refused to do so.
Mark, you train with two highly respected coaches and well respected brother. Pleaase and I mean please no more saying sorry, just address your anger issues and stop blamming everyone else as being the problem
I think that “the hammer” and “the savage” should have an academic decathalon. Mike Varner could be the moderator!!!
Times don’t have much to to with how exciting a fight can be. I was there last night and although the attendance could have been better, the fights were great. The crowd was really into it too so if you diddn’t go, you missed a good one.
Couple of production kinks with the sound, but I like the pre-fight interviews, it got the crowd into it. Loved the guy who fought Speigel talking about people buying Tapout at Wal-Mart and thinking they are fighters. Second intermission was a bit much though.
Kudos to CFX for signing a guy with Tourette’s. (at least that’s what I had to tell my son who was with me)
Felt bad for Galano, to be put in a n/s choke by a 300lb flabby guy must have been gross.
Is (0) the web way to say a**hole? That’s funny.
First of all, to everyone bitching about the fact that I ran around in the cage immediately follwing a CAGEFIGHT and said F-U to Gary 6 or 7 times, cry me a river. IT IS AN MMA EVENT!!!! WTF!!!! There are scantily clad women prancing around the cage in what amounts to be less then underwear, posters for Alex’s stripclub prominently displayed for all to see( even your kid that you brought Guy), and entrance music littered with language far worse than words that have EVER come out of my mouth, and you knobs all choose to get mad at me for swearing a couple times????? It wasn’t me who came up and challanged me to a fight after my fight it was YOUR BOSS, Varner. And before you go badmouthing me, loser, GET YOUR FACTS STRAIT. I DON”T DRINK, NEVER HAVE!!! Mabey it would explain things a bit better if I had but I dont so don’t go accusing me of doing something that I don’t do.
I thought the show was great, CFX always does a nice job. not sure why this website doesnt cover all the shows. just some shows, can we not find enough people to attend MMA shows for the price of writing a review from their free cage side seat?
Mark Giove is highly unprofessional and SSSF should keep him on a leash. like Mike Varner said, if you’ve been around as long as he stated you should know better my friend.
as far as fights ending quickly…..i thought it was exciting. sometimes you dont get what you want, cant make everyone happy right?
MMA Insider seems to have a pretty good “Inside” handle on everything that goes on around the local MMA scene. i appreciate his comments
Christian Morecraft def. Lee Beane via submission (strikes) Round 1, 2:40
Wouldnt this be a win by TKO (strikes) and not submission (strikes)
Im confused. I wasnt there and would like to know how he won. The video looks like a TKO but its a bad angle. Regardless how he waon, congrats Christian. Whos next?
Beane tapped…
A TKO from strikes occurs when the referee calls a halt to the bout using his judgement.
A submission is when a fighter signals to the referee that he no longer wishes to continue the fight.
In this situation I believe that Lee Beane suffered an injury from one of Moorecrafts earlier heavy strikes. Moments later, upon getting knocked to the ground by Moorecraft, Lee tapped. I imagine this was because he realized that he could not effectively continue and why risk taking any more damage from a oncoming Moorecraft. I’m not positive, but that is how it looked from cageside.
All in all great night, everyone came to fight and they left it all in the cage. Congrats to all of the fighters and CFX for putting together such an exciting event.
(boy, that ref in the picture below is quite stunning!)
A story on Morecraft and the fight
http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/sports/inside_the_octagon/index.php/2010/05/29/morecraft-seeks-big-time/
I sent Rick a play-by-play of the fights, so I assume he’ll post that this weekend.
Well it would appear a storms a brewin huh?? Now, Mr Varner, I will not further insult your intelligence by using big words, I will try to tone it down for your level…and I will use proper grammar and punctuation to help you out as well, seeing that it would better your ability to understand things in laymans terms, are you familiar with that phrase?
Not once did I say a single word about you in my account , and opinion. If for some reason you felt responsible and needed to be accountable for anything I said, then maybe its your own conscious that you should address, not my vocabulary.
Never did your name even come up in discussion. I have had a good deal of respect for you Mike, and I agree in principle with your comments towards Mark Giove as well. Your last post says alot of your character as an individual as well as your respected position in taking up for an individual as Giove after countless times of shall we say “knowing better”. I do see that you agree with me as well in regards to his being part of a very respected, classy school with mutually respected trainers and coaches. SSSF, needs no plug here, their reputation stands solidified with no need of additional credential props.
So before you go spouting off and trying to insult me with your elementary digs of “IDIOT” and “butt plug”, please take into consideration the fact I will not humor your insults with retorts, it would be too easy for me to not only embarrass you verbally, but also leave you quite confused as to whats actually being said. Thus leaving you to probably reply incorrectly and look even more foolish than you do already. Ive seen your rants and raves with others on this site, and your “calling out”, as well as your attempts to engage arguments with these individuals. This isnt an advised route to take here. Concentrate on the job you have at hand. With a bit more focus , there may not be a need to come here and defend yourself based on self conscious, or there the lack of!!
(Two good submission guys face off when Abe Pitrowski takes on Lionel Young. Almost all their fights have ended by submission and I haven’t seen enough of either guy to know who has the advantage. It should be a ground war though.)……………….You call it A WAR IT WAS
I think its funny that MMA OUTSIDER always has someething to say and its always everyone elses opinion that is wrong. Just an observation, no need to write a book after me buddy. Relax!!!
kkline , thats funny ! this is not a knock to mma insider , just a fact . i read one of his posts when he first apeared , and i havent read another since ! lol sounds like he knows some stuff , but man i get a headach ! to much info at once ! and those big words kill me !!!! lol
Ill keep it breif for ya kkline…never have I ever said I was right, and anyone else was wrong. Actually through every post I have up, I state that “it is my opinion”, which of course we are ALL entitled to. No one is correct or wrong on this site. Thats the beauty of a blog like this, its all based on difference of opinion! And the ability to express it.
Sorry the words are killin ya Michael…everyone have a great Memorial Day, and Im sure we will continue our discussions at a later date!!
im ok with “big” words the only problem i have is with people runnung mouths and not using their names. like someone is gonna jump through keyboard and beat them up. But at the same time this site was better when poeple posted as mma dedicated reader.I dont have a reason as to why and i mostly ignored them but it was a bit funnier then.
Alex’s is a strip club???? WTF??? Glad you told me. I won a gift certificate there and I was gonna take my boy with me. Now I guess that I’ll have to pick a cool day so I can leave him in the car.
I HAVE TO AGREE WITH JERRY ON THIS ONE, THIS SITE WAS WAY MORE ENTERTAINING WHEN YOU HAD ALL THE MDRS ON IT. I MEAN NOW AND THEN THERE WILL BE SOME GOOD STUFF LIKE THIS THREAD, BUT MOSTLY ITS JUST BLAH BLAH BLAH, YOU MIGHT SEE 1 OR 2 POSTS AFTER THE REVIEW OF A FIGHT WHERE AS BEFORE WITH THE MDRS YOU COULD ALWAYS COUNT ON ONE OF THEM TO GET SOMETHING STARTED AND THEN THE THREAD WOULD JUST TAKE OFF, OFTEN WITH SOME VERY FUNNY STUFF, I MISS THOSE DAYS.
If u guys think THAT was a Giovreaction then u should all feel very very lucky.
That we are apparently respected in this community is pretty sad.
And it was an upside down sidechoke not a guillotine.
Just so everyone knows, my name is Kenny Kline. Im white, 5’11″ size 13 shoe, I have 1 pet and enjoy long walks on the beach. Just because my user name isnt my real name, doesnt mean anything. MMAOUTSIDER, what about you?
Well, lets say for intentions that the last few threads were pretty right on in saying that with the MDRS, it adds an ability to say what you feel and express an opinion freely. It also opens up alot of flood gates because people see actual opinions they may feel the same about, but just dont speak it themselves. In a small community such as this one in New England, you work with and around alot of different aspects that you may like or dislike at times. Using an alias allows the ability of discretion through no commitment.
What I have learned though through this is that no matter the opinion, its best laid out and to stand up for your individual beliefs as a fan, and as a contributor to this sport. Many of you have not liked my opinions at times, others have agreed completely with what Ive said at times too. Thats the beauty of riling up the group…it gets people thinking and realizing different points, and expressing their own opinions whether or not they agree , like or dislike the subject. I try to relay messages and posts as not an employee of the sport, but from a fans aspect. And yes, its a fine line to walk, and a learning expirience as well, knowing what to say and how to say it. To be objective and forthwright, but also maintain a sense of loyalty to the people we all work with. In the real world, how many of us bitch and complain about our jobs, relationships etc, but yet as an actual employee or spouse, you know its best to regulate your opinions at times? Verdict…we all do!! With an alias, as many of us here created for one reason or another, it allows a sense of breathing room to voice things you see, and maybe shed light for others opinions as well. My only regret in this is that I didnt announce earlier who I was, and held out a little longer than the rest, because my personna seemed to really get people going and alot of you spoke out loudly and with bravado…which is great, and is what the sport needs….OPINIONS , and abilities to make positive changes!! So Mr Kline, Kenny who is 5-11, I will take the opportunity to introduce myself as well out of the common courtesy and respect you all have laid out as well behind your aliases.
My name is Troy, I too am caucasian, Italian Irish descent with a little native American Indian in there somewhere as well. I am 6-4 295 lbs, with a size 11 shoe, I prefer Nike footwear on them as well. I have 6 pets, 2 snakes, 2 German Shepards, a Rottweiller and a Doberman. Ive been married for 9 yrs and I dont drink. Im a big fan of beach walking myself, and I love MMA. I currently co own an apparel company that sponsors top fighters such as Ricardo Funch, Mike Campbell, Jason McLean, and other top notch fighters from the area. We donate a bunch to charity with proceeds from our shirt sales, and do alot of work with fighters that are in need of ‘help’ with representation, but havent made a big impact in the sport, and have yet to gain serious recognition. Ive got a world full of great ideas that I think will benefit this sport in the long run, and am always free to discuss items at any time, and I am never sick at sea!!
So there is the release, and the unveiling…I will continue to post under this surname, as it has created a grand sense of wonderment, admiration, and ire. All aspects I will continue to fuel this page and community with, and in doing so, hope to create a better sense of opinion, speech and free thought with you all to make this sport in Mass as good as it can be, and to attain a great level of accomplishment amongst us all!!
whats up TROY , GIVE ME A SHOUT .
MMA Insider, well written outing of yourself! HATS OFF TO YOU, that took courage…especially because, as you are well aware, you have rubbed some people the wrong way in some of your postings and now there is a chance it may affect your business with certain people (though you probably don’t care in some cases).
BTW…Experience not Expirience; Forthright not Forthwright; Persona with one N, Shepherds with an H and an E, Rottweiler with one L and A LOT is 2 words…Oh yeah, capitalize Caucasian! (And I won’t even point out all the missing apostrophes or misplaced commas) Just saying…lol
I guess that last half is just to point out the fact that though people (even you) misspell, write run-on sentences and use improper grammar, as long as we get the context of what they are trying to say, who really cares? Plus, I hate when a “well written/spoken” poster tries to belittle someone else’s opinion just because of that. There are people from all walks that post here and some of them probably don’t have to call on their writing skills everyday…so does that mean what they have to say is worthless?
Joking aside, ballsy move outing yourself and I commend you for that…and big thanks for bringing some excitement and “popcorn moments” back to the post-MDR world of MassMMA!
Is this thread the season finale of North East MMA?
troy lol ! nice hahaha one thing gets me ? 6’4: 295 # SIZE 11 SHOE !!!!!!!! LOL see you at the fights !
I’M SORRY BUT WASN’T THERE A TIME WHEN GUYS NAMED TROY, ROGER, BIFF AND PIERRE, BANNED FRON THIS SITE, JUST WONDERING .,……….
6″4″ 295 on a size 11 shoe? You must of learned how to walk at a late age. That takes some skill… its like a balancing game as you walk. Putting all jokes to the side though, I understand where you are coming from except the fact Rick needs to increase storage space for every post you make. Its like you need your own server. I bet if you cut down your posts by 50% or more (if thats even possible) people would take you more seriously? Because I am thinking maybe they cant see the point your trying to make with all the rambling like a crazy female on the rag. Its just a little much for the majority and face it, the grammar isnt up to par here so they probably only understand a 1/4 of what your saying. But hey, I wouldnt change for anyone either especially an internet forum so keep doing what you do. Just something to think about.
I must say the size 11 shoe obviously fits the Irish descent side of my geneology. As for cutting down the posts a bit…yes, I may.Carpelltunel seems to develop after typing on this site. But alas, as I mentioned I try to write from a fan perspective, and just point out things I see from a view looking in. I hope people do take my ideas and suggestions seriously, because like many of you, I truly want to see this sport as good as it can be. As for rambling on, the only thing I enjoy more than MMA is football, so keep off the internet football betting sites and you should be safe!! It is sort of like the final season huh Johnny?? All the plots come out at this point…but is it too late?? Tune in next post……
Troy, why is it that your opinions don’t cross state lines? All your opinions seem to be about Massachusetts and the mma shows in mass. This is Northeast mma why not enlighten us some more on your thoughts of NH, NJ, NY MMA
I have a few times Dwayne, in past rants and raves. I honestly believe NH has a strong grasp on whats going on and have been to a few shows there. I was impressed very much with Triumph Promotions and speaking with John Faine, he seems to have a great sense of what he is creating up there. Combat Zone is a great venue, just needs to be a little more prominent in its viewability. More shows, not so distantly placed I think. I do realize the financial commitments associated with doing shows, and this again is another situation where the “fan’ overspeaks the buisnessman. We all want to see shows the way we are used to. Last year at this time, shows were popping off every weekend it seemed.
New Jersey seems to be another hot bed of talent and showmanship. They have a great grasp on the actual fights and matchmaking, which as you notice is my pet peeve. Their production down there isnt as flamboyant as Mass seems to create, but they rest their laurels on strong fights. In NY, I have only had experience with a small promotion called Take -On. They are a small Muay Thai based organization that focuses on strongly matched bouts with a very small percentage of funding dedicated to showmanship. But the action is intense and crowd response is sometimes overwhelming. Shogun down in Marlyland area seems to be a great event as well, and it draws a huge crowd. MY next interest lies out in Ohio, where Im told there is genial hotbed of talent and action that just needs an explosive portal to truly be recognized, and a blast of promotion to an already strong group of competitors.
Please remember Dwayne, Im not against or for any single promotion in any area. I have alot of respect and admiration for whats happening here in Mass, and for all the promoters putting hard time and effort into their shows, and am extremely passionate to the point of trying to work with a number of individuals and organizations to certain degrees. I only make more statements about Mass MMA because this is where I currently live. My personal vision and opinions of where this sport can go from this area, is a vast expansion. Should be very interesting to see how it all plays out!!
what a fuking buttplug misspelling blowhard
mike varner
Congratulations for the month of May. You won the asshole award and piece of shit award. We will see how you do next month. Congratulations once again, keep up the good work.
To answer your question, Troy…I was yelled at like a little boy at the Moosin show because I was watching the fights from some where other than my assigned press seat. I got up to take a piss, and when I walked back to my seat, Joe Lauzon and Nuri Shakir were talking in the tunnel directly under one of the big monitors. I stopped to talk to them and watch the girl fight on the monitor.
Then some dude comes walking out and asks me if I had an orange sticker on my press pass, I did not. He then asked me to follow him, and he brought me to the guy running the press and he lost it. Not sure why. He said something about me making him look stupid, and if I wasn’t there working, I could take my shit and leave.
I do indeed work hard at at mma.team
Completely ridiculous Rick, you would think the guy would have known what the hell was going on…, you did handle it well though man, it seemed like you were more in shock from his outburst than anything else…he looked like he was going to have a coronary…haha!
And Mike Varner…I guess I’ll just let your comments here speak for themselves.
mma insider great post
Wow,…!!!!!! so I have never hiden well so I put myself right out there. I am “The Angry Man” 6′ plus depends on who is holding the tape, about 300lbs., I have a St. Bernard, rednose pit, and a Rhodesian Ridge back aswell as a farm of animale Bulls, goats, chickens, and also an 8′ red tail Boa. I waited and waited and waited for this much anticipated card only to find out I was way more happy staying home and working. No disrespect to Gary and Linda they truely do treat “ALL” the fighters like Rock Stars. However when I took the fights with Beane and Mr. Morecraft I had only a few weeks to be ready these guys had months then a couple more months. To be honest I thought Beane was goin to own Morecraft ? For Beane to tap well never would have guessed! So not wanting to sound like an “INSIDER” I will end this by offering CONGRATS to a few,…First What I think would be win of the night Abe P. great unexpected victory, Mark I am unsure what happen at the end but you got the “W” good job brother, “BIG BOBBY FAVORS” Great win and I think you should get shot at Mr. Morecraft if he is willing to take it? Mr. Morecraft you made it sound to easy I understand Favors is Big but I believe its a fight for the Sizes. Last Bill Mahoney great win over a battled veteran and I am sure it was the fight worth admission!
In Ending Gary has called me wanting me to fight Chris Bagge (who deserves rematch) Arty Mullen(Who Doesn’t) even Shawn Gelano who I think would be a great match, However after reading all post if I could pick the fight to come off the Mountain to take it would be ANGRY MAN vs. The INSIDER
Sorry I wish my post could have been longer and more anoying with much worse spelling and grammar however I have other things to do! BIg Hammer you understand what I am saying!
I honestly have no desire to see Morecraft vs. Favors. Aside from a nice win last weekend, Favors was on a four fight losing streak. Even if the win he’s not even at .500 (9-11).
I really think Christian needs a good test, and no disrespect to anyone around here but I don’t think he’s going to get it fighting another local fighter right now.
I mean this kid basically ran through Beane and Diekman. And there aren’t many fighters around here who can even give Lee Beane and Josh Diekman good fights. Granted, I do like Pat Bennett and hope to see him fight some more.
Anyway, what I’m trying to say is I’d rather see promotions around here bring in a more experienced fighter for Christian or see him venture out to somewhere like New Jersey or even better an organization like Bellator.
I do see Josh Hendricks fighting for Combat Zone in a few weeks, I’d love to see him vs. Morecraft or even someone like a Sam Hoger.
CONGRATS
to
Abe Pitrowski
and
Rob Costa
and teams well done.
Does anyone have contact info for Abe Pitrowski? If you know him, please have him email me at northeastmma@gmail.com
Well well i knew it would be sooner or later that you would be talking shit again( Dolloff) . A year and your still running scared you come up with every lam excuse possible. Now you say I am not worthy of a rematch on AUGUST 14. THERE WAS 8,000 FANS THAT’S 16,000 EYES THAT SAW I WAS KICKING YOU ASS. Now your claiming that due to an injury to myself gets you a proper win.. I do not think so lose the yellow strike , step up to the plate and let’s due round 2 at Capannelli stadium. I will guarantee you will not wine about a bout being stop early..So you want to be a fighter show..
Its funny you say that stuff Mark, another mind thinking outside the box. This is an idea I have brought up to a few promotions, but yet they “dont want to hear it”, their show is just fine! I mention this idea because I have alot of connections through mutual friends etc to top ranked fighters out in CA, FL, OH, and NC. The guys I was willing to bring in were even out of Fabers camp in Sacremento, but yet my ideas fell on deaf ears. The top guys in this area, except a few, will not fight other top ranked guys here, so why not bring in talent from other areas. In a case like Moorecraft, I think your right on by saying who else is there for him to fight? Hendricks would be good and there was even a recent attempt on one of my connections side to bring in Wes Sims. Alot of promoters feel the cost effectiveness of this isnt always worth it, due to lack of fan support and ticket sales from that fighter, but I will say, if you market it correctly, it can be done and be profitable. I will also hint that there is something being put together now that may soon be able to encompass this need, but its going to take a while for it to come around, and its not really my place to say anything in regards to whats coming…but I can tell you all that your going to be very impressed with what you will all see.
Watching Moorecraft develop is what the real goal here should be, also there is a good market for our local fighters to fight elsewhere as well. I have a few shows in CA that are interested and believe me, they want East coast guys out there. What tends to happen in a general area is the locals fight eachother, build a name and reputation, and then when and if they get the opportunity to fight other national competition, they realize its not the same game. There are so many top notch fighters out there nation wide, its would truly be a great accomplishment to get them to fight some of our top guys from here. The means are there, but it seems as though the idea does not appeal to many. I am glad to see another person in the sport speaking in those terms though, it lets me know I am not alone in my quest to see top talent competitions.
Mullen/Dolloff 2 is what we the fans want to see. Two big boys each with about 45 seconds in the tank going straight towards each other swinging for the fences. It won’t be long, it definitely won’t be pretty, but it’ll be exciting as hell. Winner gets to fight that fat hispanic looking kid from the outdoor CFX show who danced into the cage, slipped on the vinyl floor at the start of the fight, and then got beat senseless.
Josh Hendricks is dropping down to 205 so that wont work but I like your thinking Mark and “Insider”. Lets bring in some outsiders to test the local guys, I don’t see anyone in this area giving Morecraft any trouble.
Moorecraft just beat the two best heavyweights in the n. east, and both in the 1st round.Nobodys tougher than Beane or Josh around here.So logically Moorecraft needs to be tested elsewhere.Dollof get off your FAT ASS , and off that damn mountain and throw your hat in the ring, err cage,i miss you baby, dont make me come up there. LOL.
SEE Troy told you about the post.!!! After posting on here yesterday I had a nice chat with Troy and I think we both came to the same conclusion and that being with all productions and fighters that the “FANS” who pay deserve better fights, as Fighters deserve way better pay for these are the guys who put it out there! Morecraft does deserve to be tested and belongs in the big time no question at all.! Favors is a big guy and I was unaware of his record but the Idea of Morecraft throwing him around would only give him more attention for the big shows. Loco Lobo you aged old son of a ……. well its always a pleasure and you come on up you are always welcome.
As far as MULLEN I told you I would give you a rematch and you started crying about retireing after you gave your last quick tap out do to Shitting your pants at your last appearence?? I still can’t sit right from having your nose so far up my ass! Arty I wouldn’t charge the spectators for our fight ,and might even do the time, for just driving down there and putting you in a coma in your home town??? Last Dalton who ever you are you should attend a fight its a great time then you might see that a Hard head and good Cardio can take you places. The Only time I got tired in the Cage was against THE BIG HAMMER and it did cost me but way after 45 seconds.
That’s funny because from what a lot of people saw I was kicking your ass..you are the one that didn’t want the rematch every time you was offered a rematch you would say your not fighting anymore…Its funny how you talk shit over the net but you can’t say shit to my face..You should also learn the proper way of spelling my name.Well the only thing I can say is that means your taking the rematch against me round 2? I can guarantee that it will not be a quick tap like you did against Beane.
artie i have to say as a friend , you look like shit when i saw you last week . i dont see another fight left in you ! at my age it takes everything i have to get ready for a fight . i always change my body and my skill level for every fight . you asked me what i thought about your fighting one time and i said retire . im not trieng to be mean , i just dont think you are in any kind of shape to be in the ring .sorry dude .jason you are the man and i would love to roll with you again . but i have been training in one form or another constantly for a while . im prepaireing for a couple more fights . my goal is to chalange myself with fighters ranked higher than me . people i havent fought . so thanks my friend for thinking of me ,and eric did get accepted to bridgton acadamy so i will be seeing you in the fall .my goal is to continue to trane through the summer and fight in plymouth in september . mabee that randy smith or sssf i think has another hw other than foley . we will see .
as for morecraft , i think his mannager needs to get him up the latter now . no scence staying here for stupid fights like fava . dont get me wrong he can fight on north east level but not morecraft level . it tim silvia is fighting mosen or what ever they call it
???? why not put him with morecraft ?
Mike “The Hammer” didn’t want to sound like I was trying to call you out, not at all just stating that my cardio was no question unless fighting a monster like you? If Foley doesn’t fight you maybe a match with Paul Barry. I am done being the man but thanks for the comment by the way!
As far as Arty “wanna be” Mullen maybe you got hit in head to hard or when you broke that chair with your ass it made you stupid however I never tapped against Beane or Morecraft the Ref stopped it. Look it up ??? Man your dumb, I felt bad for you like everyone else but when I Won the fight with you it was not even a plus on my record since before I hit you you sissied out and grabbed your balls. I will fight you Arty but not for money, and It will be old School dirty underhanded with no refs to stop it . GOD I LOVE THIS SIGHT!!!!
It sounds like this fight will need to happen in a “unnamed location” in the Providence RI area. No briefcases allowed though. Limited guest list, just like last time
If it happens, I’ll leave my black shirt at home. I’ll just bring popcorn and cold beer (hopefully we can all enjoy it afterwards……just like the old days)
Your just a coward and you are afraid that you will get an ass whipping , you can sit there and make excuses about not taking the rematch so who is the coward..Not me cause I am CALLING YOU OUT TO TAKE THE REMATCH ” COWARD” . ARE U GOING TO TAKE THE REMATCH??????????
sounds like attack in back of the shack !!!
Regarding Omen666 continue to run your mouth over the internet thats all your good for. I didnt make weigh ins for a reason, actually several reasons, none of which concern, the only time you should be concerned about me is when your in the cage with me, oh wait but you wont fight me again….. Congrats to everyone else. Damien Trites still a joke.
^^^^^
Where did that come from??
