Wartown Beatdown 4 is set for this Friday, Nov 13 from the Worcester Palladium. The card features 145 and 155 pound title fights, as well as a pretty big card all around. If you’re looking for something to do Friday, I’d recommend checking this show out.

The 145 pound title fight should be a war, as hard hitting Chris Foster takes on Kenny Foster. Chris is a slick boxer with good takedown defense, and he’s been tearing guys up in his pro career. While Kenny is more of a wrestler/ground and pound guy, he did drop Travis Lerchen with a punch in their fight, and has shown that he can hang standing up. Both guys prefer to strike, whether it standing on or the ground, so it should be exciting no matter where it goes.

The 155 pound title fight features rising star Saul Almeida, and he’s set to take on Joe Manzello. I assume this is the same Joe Manzello that fought Mike Littlefield a while back, and if so, he’s tough. Both guys are good on the ground, and Manzello will have a significant strength advantage, but Almeida is undefeated and slick as hell. Big things are expected from Saul, and this should be a good test for him.

Davin Wesinger also makes his return to the ring when he takes on Aniss Alhajjajy. Davin is exciting, and unorthodox, and has KO power in his hands. Aniss is the more technical striker, and no doubt the better grappler, but you can’t sleep on a guy like Davin. Aniss is coming off a couple wins at WCF, and is likely a fight or two away from a top 10 ranking. This fight could be his coming out party.

Travis Lerchen vs. Marcos Maciel should be another interesting fight. Travis is a good striker, and Maciel is an elite BJJ guy, so it’s our classic grappler vs. striker match up. If Travis keeps it standing, he can win, but if Maciel gets it to the ground, it could be over quickly.

Mike Zichelle is also set to compete, as well as Luis Felix, Andrew Pollard and Nick Tzimas. All of these guys are exciting win or lose, and while I don’t know a ton about their opponents, no fight from any of the above has been boring, so the night should be packed with exciting fights.
