Overall, the night had several great fights and showed several potential up and comers in John Ortolani and Jared Dumais. Ortolani was very dominating in his performance and will be a beast when he moves down to 155. Personally, before his move down in weight, I would like to see a rematch Tom Moreau due to NC a few months ago. Jared Dumais showed superior striking and great heart against a well rounded and experience fighter in his second fight.  Kinberger and Almeida showed a great and technical fight and can not wait to see these two in the cage again along with Nate Kittredge and Dan Pasquarella. Combatzone is putting on great shows and with Dennis Olson vs. Ricardo Funch as the main event for the next event, I can hardly wait.

Great Job Jared Dumais, Very proud of you. Your striking looked great, and we know what we need to work on. There’s very few real strikers around here and you’ll make for a tough fight for anyone.
Congrats to Zack Burhans, he stayed calm and stuck to his game plan. the more well rounded and better fighter won.

The best amateur fight was between Jesse McElligott and Garret Morrow. Jesse completely dominated the fight. He only took one solid hit. Great ground control.

    BJJ style!

In response to Scott D. Pete got swept, then got hit 4 times in the face, and the movement you refered to was him covering his face and turning to his side, and not moving from there. The Ref was correct in stopping the fight. Pete had a NASTY cut over his eye as well as his nose and mouth, and was not ACTIVELY defending himself. Hey a wins a win and I’ll take it, but I’m DEF NO PURPLEBELT LOL. Fighting that night was like being on a slip and slide. It was covered with blood and tough to get a grip.

Props to Pete for hangin in there and being a TOUGH opponant. Congrats to Dan P. for the win. It’s nice to see him back in the ring, he’s a BEAST.
