Friday was the second installment of Matt Lee’s Wartown Beatdown. It was held at the Palladium in Worcester. All the fights ended in the first round with only one going to a decision. Here is how the night went.

155lb: Charlie Solomon vs. Mike Johnson (Lions Den)

Round 1: The two briefly exchanged strikes. Solomon shot in and got the takedown; easily moving to side control then mount. Johnson was able to bump Solomon off but only to fall into a triangle choke.

Winner: Charlie Solomon by triangle choke

155lb: Bobby Flynn vs. Adam Toussaint (MSM)

Round 1: The two clinch and Toussaint attempted for a hip toss. Toussaint gave up his back and the two scrambled. The two stood back and started to strike. Flynn landed a good knee and superman punch. Toussaint was taken down; Flynn attempted an anaconda choked then to an armbar.

Winner: Bobby Flynn by armbar

145lb: Sean Soriano (Team Rockstar) vs. Eric Herrerra (Brute Force)

Round 1: The two started to swing with bad intentions. Herrerra swung and missed exposing his back. Soriano took the back and suplex Herrerra. Once on the ground, Soriano mounted and landed several strikes. Herrerra was able to stand back up but only to get taken down and mounted again. The doctor called an end to the fight due to a cut after the round.

Winner: Sean Soriano by TKO

160lb: Asa Buck (MMAT) vs. Richie Enjemi (Team Extreme)

Round 1: They touched gloves and Buck rushed in tossing non-stop punches. Enjemi tired to defend but just got pinned against the cage. Ref stopped the fight.

Winner: Asa Buck by TKO

165lb: Todd Foote (Hit Fight) vs. John Downy (Team Extreme)

Round 1: The two clinched and Foote was able to wrestle Downy down to the ground. Foote got side control and jumped to the other side to lock in the arm choke.

Winner: Todd Foote by arm choke

170lb: Ralph Johnson (MMAT) vs. Jeff Cummings (Dog Pound)

Round 1: Johnson landed a few punches then clinched. He tried to jump the back but got taken down and pulled guard. Cummings stood up and tried to land a punch but ate one while coming down. He seemed to be out; Johnson capitalizes and tossed several strikes. Ref stopped the fight.

Winner: Ralph Johnson by TKO

185lb: Heath Picard (Hit fight) vs. Ryan Whitney

Round 1: The two swung wildly. Picard shot in for the takedown, got it, but was not able to hold Whitney down. Whitney stood back up only to get suplex. Whitney stood back up and the two trade. Picard knocked out Whitney with a right hand.

Winner: Heath Picard by KO

155lb: Frank Latina (Lions Den) vs. Barrington Douse

Round 1: Latina shot in for the takedown but was not able to hold Douse down. The two stood back up and clinched. Latina got another takedown and tried for an “Americana” Douse defended well but got mounted. Latina landed a few punches then took the back. Douse was able to shook Latina off and get back up. Latina landed a 1,2 combo with a double leg takedown. The round ended with Latina switching between mount and back position and Douse defending well.

Round 2: Latina shot for the single. Latina did a lot of ground of pound and attempted to take the back. Douse was able to stand back up only to get slammed down hard by Latina. Round ended with Latina performing a lot of ground and pound.

Winner: Frank Latina by UD 20-18 X 3

180lb: Jeff Cesaitis (MMAT) vs. Robby Roberts (Brute Force)

Round 1: The two exchanged strikes and Roberts attempted a guillotine. The two went to the ground and Roberts attempted a heelhook. Cesaitis defended and the two scrambled on the ground. He caught Roberts in an armbar and switched it to a triangle.

Winner: Jeff Cesaitis by triangle choke

155lb: Louis Felix (Time Burrill) vs. Antwan Penn

Round 1: Felix shot in and got the takedown. He easily mounted Penn and landed several strikes. Felix locked in a triangle while Penn tried to bump out of mount.

Winner: Louis Felix by triangle.

135lb: Brendon Lehman (Bombsquad) vs. Jason Bennett (Lions Den)

Round 1: The two circled each other for about a good minute. Finally, Bennett landed a high kick to Lehman’s face.

Winner: Jason Bennett by KO

155lb: Ho jin Yu vs. Peter Kaljevic

Round 1: Yu tossed a 1,2 takedown combo. He landed a few vicious knees to the body on the ground. Kaljevic was able to stand back up and the two trade strikes. Yu got another single leg takedown and easily moved to mount position. Yu rained down several punches to get the ref stoppage.

Winner: Ho jin Yu by TKO
