I spoke to the guys over at the XCFL today and they have booked two title fights for their March 26 event at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. The first is a 185 pound title fight between Dan Keefe and Lance Everson. Both guys have great wrestling and both like to use their ground and pound to dominate their opponent. It’ll be interesting to see who dominates, and who gets dominated on March 26.
Their other title fight features two of the areas best 145 pound fighters making their debut at 135 fighting for the vacant bantam weight title. Tateki Matsuda is set to take on Anthony Leone. Matsuda will have a big advantage in the stand up, but Leone is a dominant wrestler with great submissions. Leone tends to push the pace a bit more than the composed Matsuda, and that is what’s going to make this interesting. Matsuda will have to time the rush of Leone and catch him coming in, because as good as Matsuda is on the ground, I don’t see him winning this fight if Leone can keep him on his back.
More fights are going to be announced in the coming weeks.

Then Leone grapples to a decision in a good fight.

Very excited for this fight. Lance Everson has got some of the best wrestling in the New England middleweight division–he took down Nate Kittredge when they fought and that’s saying something considering Nate’s storied wrestling career and credentials. Dan’s a wrestler too, but his standup continues to improve by leaps and bounds. This is a fantastic bout that I know both guys have been waiting a long time for. Can’t wait!

Thats the same questions I need answered. I am the match maker for the National Amateur Fight League. Our next show has been scheduled for April 10th. We want to be in compliance with the commission but we are getting no answers. Any help will be appreciated.
