Ok I'll take you're word for his integrity and just assume he's merely clueless. But do me a favor and watch the Derucia fight with him and asking him how a guy who's losing the stand-up,getting slammed down and GNP'd while getting nowhere with any subs wins all 3 rounds. It was a worse call that Bisping-Hammil, Henderson- Mino 1, and Gholar-Johil.
In wrestling he wins with takedowns, in boxing he lands with far more strikes landing and more damaging ones, in BJJ he gest 2 for takedowns and 3 for a few guard passes. But he loses in MMA? Madness.

I hear you Bill and, like I said I was not there to see it. As the state gets on board, we'll be having a meeting/certification for the state referees and judges to iron out all the little things since there has not yet been a standard. This will also help with your EMT problem because the stae has protocols for where and how far away that they could be. In regards to the "I suspect something else" that is 100 percent not the case. Pete asked me to hire the officials and every one that I did has the highest integrity and takes their job very seriously. If there ever is the potential for any sort of "conflict of interest" the judge in question switches with the scorekeeper for the bout in question. I apologize that there was any controversy because it can take away from a fighters hard work. Moving forward, this will all be stuff you will have to bring up with the state (thank the Lord!!!). It's been a loooooonnnng 6-7 years of trying to stay on top of this. Even though I've enjoyed it, I'm glad to finally have someone that I can throw under the bus whit things get crazy!!!!!!!

The situation with the corners should be handled by a Security Team. Having too many people in the corners can also mess it up for the rest of the people in attendance.

Having someone from the other team in your corner is shady, first instance that TEAM gets a warning, next instance, BAM! You can have your normal 4 corners and that's it.

Understood Kevin. But if the ref isn't to be concerned with corners I;d love it explained to me why we were repeatedly yelled at by refs for having 1 too many while other teams with many more were allowed to keep them.
As 4 fence grabbing, I'm fine with it being legal, or grounds for losing a point after 1 grab. What I'm not cool with is when it's both on the same card.
Finally with the judging ...some judges put more weight in standup, some in takedowns, whatever. But when a fighter wins all aspects of the fight...standing, takedowns, groundfighting...and 2 judges see him doing that, and one has the other fighter winning all three rounds.
Lets just say I hope the judge was incompetent.Cause I suspect something else.
And yeah, okay you make a valid point about perspective affecting what one sees in the fight. But some fights could be watched from the moon and we'd all know who won.
Again though, it didn't wind up affecting anything. And it was definately a great show full of energy from the crowd and action in the cage. And the fights seemed especially well matched , most were very competitive.
I just like to state my piece cause there's always room for improvement.

I didn't even get into the worst part...the fact that I had to go thru the crowd to find one of my students who spent 45 bucks and wound up the EMT for multiple fighters(and seeing maybe 5 fights) cause the EMT at the show was nowhere to be found and the ringside doctor asked me to stop bothering him when I told him a fighter in the locker room was showing signs of a massive concussion
.It turned out ok tho, my student EMT diagnosed the problems made a sling, decided whether the ER was needed, suggested medication etc etc etc.But it all worked out cause no one died.
