Boxing legend Micky Ward becomes the XCFL Training Center official boxing coach.

Q and A with Micky Ward

The XCFL is proud to announce that boxing legend Micky Ward will joining the XCFL team as the head boxing coach at the XCFL Training Center in Chelmsford, MA.  Micky Ward  is regarded as one of the most determined fighters to ever step foot in the ring. Micky is looking to bring his years of experience and will to win to his coaching of MMA fighters at the center. Micky will be training Calvin Kattar for his featured fight against Canadian Sensation Taylor Solomon in XCFL One. He has also committed to train Dan Keefe for his 185 pound title fight against Lance Everson on March 26 at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. If you want to learn more about Micky Ward you can check out the major motion picture coming out in the fall titled The Fighter, where Mark Wahlberg stars as Micky Ward and Christian Bale plays Micky’s  trainer and brother Dicky Eklund.
