I’m Mark Chauppetta, a 40 year old father
of twin boys who suffer from
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Everyday, I see my boys struggle.
This disease is a terminal, muscle-wasting
condition. To raise awareness and funds,
I fought in a stadium before thousands of spectators. I trained with some of the biggest names in mixed martial arts. The bout was held in my hometown of Brockton, Mass, which is renowned for many legendary fighters. My doctors and my friends warned me not to do this, yet I know that any adversity and danger that I encounter is nothing compared to what my twins face everyday. I’m a father, a fighter, and this is
A FATHERS FIGHT.
after the screening, the documentary’s original soundtrack
will be performed LIVE by Canadian twin recording artists

@ 5:17 PM:
Hello everyone Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. This past summer I fought for my third time to raise awareness for my sons Troy & Andrew who have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The cool thing is this time around we made it into a documentary movie that is getting national attention. The movie is finished and has such local celbs like Joe Lauzon, Joe Pomfet, Mike Varner, CFX etc etc who all assisted in my training. We also have the likes of Bas Rooten from Inside MMA and Forrest Griffin who lended a hand. MMA has really brought joy to my sons as fans and to me as a part time fighter it’s amazing how it helps me wash away the stress that goes with our journey.
On Friday January we will be premiering the film at the Shaw’s Center / Campanelli where CFX had the outdoor event. The film will be followed by a concert and will be a great night out all around. I would like to extend the invite to the MMA community to attend so if interested to contact me at OTMINV@AOL.COM so I can send you out an invite. Thank you.
PS Look out for my story to be in Jan or Feb FIGHT Magazine.

@ 1:29 PM:
This event should be a BIG event coming shortly after the UFC Spike broadcast & PPV which will feature the Lauzons (a historic moment for UFC), and a few weeks prior the next CFX event.
Mark comes from Brockton, and there are a lot of fighters here with a connection to this city learning the sport, and making a name for themselves.
I hope everyone will remember that this is for Mark’s boys Troy and Andrew, and come Jan 22 I hope to see that the local MMA world will be showing him and his boys some love!
In another note… Carmen and Camille are HOT!

thanku mark but I wouldnt consider myself a local celb but I was glad that I could help and be part of your venture. Much credit goes to the Boneyard. It all started there many many years ago when you had your first fight under them and then years later shooting your first bit of footage there. And me teaching you was directly from learning from them.
Im looking forward to seeing so many diversed people in one room who all have an interest in the cause and in MMA.
