I honestly don’t know who wrote this, and I wasn’t at the event, but I was told a fan named Paul write this up for the promoters. Enjoy..
The Sheraton Braintree Hotel had over 700 MMA fans waiting for the debut show from the AFO. President Peter DiLorenzo promised a packed full evening of exciting fights and he and his crew delivered.
The first fight of the night arguable the best fight of the night featured Steve Butler and Franklin Isabel. Both fighters came out ready to go trading hard shots throughout the round, both at times with their opponent in trouble. Isabel used the clinch to land big knees with Butler countering with heavy uppercuts. Going to the ground during the 2nd round Isabel caught Butler in a triangle and then switched to an arm bar as Butler tried to roll through.
WINNER – FRANKLIN ISABEL
Patty Thompson vs. Murice McNeil was the 2nd fight of the night again with both fighters landing heavy shots while standing. Patty got several takedowns and Murice fought back to his feet calling Patty on to trade punches.
2nd round Patty landed a thunderous head kick that shook McNeil, but he fought back landing shots of his own to the face of Thompson. Not liking getting punched in the face so much, Thompson worked for the takedown again and started working ground and pound and was able to take McNeil’s back to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Great heart out of both fighters!
Winner – Patty Thompson
Tim O’Connell vs. Pete Revaredo is the 3rd fight with Tim looking real big and cut for a 155 lbs. Both fighters charged each other with Peter getting the takedown. O’Connell contained Pete’s barrage of strikes and was able to find an Arm Bar while Peter was still on his feet, Pete fought not to give in but O’Connell hipped in forcing Peter to tap.
Winner – Tim O’Connell
Perry Pierre vs. Todd Chattelle was a great fight to watch. This fight had it all, they battled on their feet through the entire 1st round landing big right hands and each fighter asking the other “Is that all you got?”
Going into the 2nd round each fighter had thrown a ton of punches and Perry decided to attempt to bring it to the ground. Todd clearly had the ground experience stuffing each take down placing himself in side control and worked to mount. As the round went on Todd was too much to handle for Pierre winning by TKO
Winner – Todd Chattelle
Dimitri Theodorides vs. Vinnie Cruz was the 5th fight. They came out landing a few stiff leg kicks each with Cruz scoring the 1st takedown. Both fighters showed good Jits but Cruz able to work in a bit of Ground and Pound to go along with it. This proved to be the deciding factor in the fight with Cruz finding the back of Theodorides and scoring his 1st victory by RNC
WINNER – Vinny Cruz
Nicole Silvia vs. Vanessa Krupa – Its time for the ladies!! This was a Maui Thai fight where both were wearing head gear and shin pads. The 1st round Vanessa came out like a bull getting many shots in. As the round went on Siliva found her grove and she starting landing her own shots. Going into the 2nd round the ladies decided to take off their shin guards which caused the crowed to erupt!! They continued for 3 full rounds in an exciting fight and an exciting finish, they both could have gone 3 more rounds if you asked them to.
WINNER – Draw
Brian Marino vs. Miguel Diaz
Both fighters making their AFO debut and they came out to put on a show and that’s what they did for 3 full rounds. They went back and forth showing a little bit of everything with Cruz showing his dominance on his feet while Marino scored with several take downs showing his wrestling background. This fight was up and down with the fighters truly leaving all in the cage.
WINNER – Brian Marino (I smell rematch)
Mike Kitteridge vs. Adam Greg
As Mike made his way to the cage you were able to hear his many fans in the crowd. He came out very calm really enjoying his moment. The round started and Adam came out swinging for the fences. Mike was able to level change getting below the punches and get the take down where he went right into the mount. Mike landed several big shots which cause the ref to step in and stop it just 59sec into round 1
WINNER – Mike Kitteridge
Chris Traietti vs. Kenny Hazzard
1st I gotta say I got to spend some time before the fight with Kenny Hazzard and I found him to be one of the most polite guy I have ever meet in this business. Unfortunately that didn’t help him in the match with Traietti. They came out and Chris used his boxing back ground to prove to be too much for Hazzard. Trading a few punches back and forth Traietti turned it on scoring a TKO early in the 1st round. Both fighters have a promising future in MMA
WINNER – Chris Traietti

Steve Jeager vs. Daniel Sucuri
The long awaited showing of Sucuri is here and it’s against a heavy handed Jeager. Steve Jeager’s game plan was to box and keep his distance but that didn’t workout the way he had planed. Early in the fight Sucuri shot and before Jeager new it he was on his back. Sururi quickly begin to work landing some strikes, taking his back scoring a win 36 sec into Round 1 Sucuri by RNC
WINNER – Daniel Sucuri
Mike Varner vs. Todd Solek
I expected this to be a real good fight and it was. Todd coming off several back to back defeats had something to prove. The round started with both fighters taking their time feeling each other out. Solek threw a few leg kicks followed by straight rights. Varner countered rocking Solek back and going in for the kill. Solek recovered and the fight worked its way to the ground where Solek was relentless with hammer fist and body shots.
WINNER – Todd Solek
