XCFL had their debut event last night, and quite frankly, I was impressed.

GFL “Proving Grounds” takes place on Friday, February 5 at the Wonderland Ballroom in Revere, MA. It features a modest price tag of only $25 for general admission tickets, with the highest ticket price at only $35.

Despite the rumors of Calvin Kattar being off XCFL’s debut event, he is fighting and his new opponent is Bombsquad fighter Don Carlo-Clauss.

XCFL’s long awaited debut event is finally here, and is set to take place Saturday, February 6 from the Marlborough Convention Center. The card features two title fights and several other exciting match ups. They will also be filming for a TV show that is set to hit a major network in the next few months.

Announcement of February 26 Lineup!

On Saturday, February 20th, 2010 Kevin “the Ref” MacDonald will be holding a full day referee training seminar at Miletich Fighting Systems in Hooksett, NH. This course will begin at 8:30 am and finish at 3:00pm.

It looks like the rumors are true, and GFL 5 is officially off. Press release inside.

Unfortunately I didn’t have anyone available to review the event, but I did want to post the official results sent over by Biggie.

I’m not sure how this one slipped through the cracks, but LNF Ultra Cage Fights has their debut event Saturday the 16th of January a the Holiday Inn, in Taunton, MA. The card is a benefit show for Breast Cancer, and they have a strong card also.

Reality Fighting “Detonation” is set to take place this Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Memorial Hall in Plymouth, MA. The card is headlined by two title fights, a 205 pound title fight between Fred Bellaton and Mike Stewart, as well as a 145 pound title fight between Mike Gresh and Josh LaBerge.

Kevin MacDonald is going to be conducting a referee training seminar on Feb 20, and he sent me an email with some details. Because I’m lazy, I’m going to cut and paste the whole email instead of writing a new version. Check it out

Paddy Thompson knocked out Jose Valentin in the AFO main event on Saturday night to retain his welterweight title in impressive fashion. While the event was hurt by a few injuries and cancelled bouts, all the guys that fought delivered good action and the crowd was into it, with Thai Nguyen, Joe Lamoureaux, and Paddy “Thunder Kitten” Thompson getting the biggest support from the fans.

The Global Fight League™ is proud to present their upcoming main event for their January 22nd show from the Capitol Theatre in Concord NH. The highly anticipated match is for the GFL’s coveted 145lb title.
