At last nights Athletic Commission meeting, the commish voted 4-1 in favor of requiring double weigh-in’s (day before and day of).

Combat Zone 32 is set for Friday March 5, from their usual location, Rockingham Park in Salem, NH. They have two great 170 pound fights, along with some other solid pro and amateur fights.

When I was on the Ultimate Fighter, I met Allen “Monstah Lobstah” Berube and all he did was rant and rave about this guy from back home “Matty”. Allen was convinced he would be perfect for the show.

Rick Hawn and Tom Gallicchio stepped into the main event slot of WCF 9 Friday night after an injury forced Mike Campbell off the card, and delivered a grueling, high-level 3 round war. Hawn controlled and outpointed a more experienced and game Gallicchio to win a unanimous 30-27 victory and keep his undefeated record intact. Over 3,000 were in attendance for the 10 fights at the Shriner’s Auditorium in Wilmington, including familiar local faces from the UFC, an appearance by Butterbean, and several Boston Celtics players.

Untamed 30: Caged Combat eminated from one of their usual hotspots, White’s of Westport. It featured nine great fights that wavered between wars that went the distance and quick finishes. Luckily, they didn’t have the same ring girls as the first time they went there a few years ago.

I spoke to the guys over at the XCFL today and they have booked two title fights for their March 26 event at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium.

CFX returned to the Plymouth Jungleplex for the third time on Saturday night for “Rumble in the Jungle 3″ which featured 22 total fights for a monster card in front of a large audience. Continuing with the big, fast-paced, spectacle shows that CFX has become known for putting on, 16 of 22 fights on Saturday ended inside of 2 minutes and 30 seconds. While the number of fights might seem overwhelming, the show moved along at a good clip with 4,162 people reported to be in attendance. The place was packed and full of energy.

World Championship Fighting is set to present WCF 9 on Friday February 26 from their usual location, the Shriner’s Auditorium in Wilmington, MA. The card is packed with top talent from top to bottom, and the card has actually improved since the full fight card was released a week ago.

The AFO is very please to release it’s fight card to the upcoming “Last Man Standing” Event being held February 26, 2010 at Lombardo’s in Randolph Ma, just off exit 5A.

He’s been with us for a little while now, and has recently released a very cool website that features awesome interviews with guys like UFC fighters Efrain Escudero, Shane Carwin and Patrick Cote..and that’s just in the past couple weeks.

The National Amateur Fight League is set to bring their brand of amateur MMA to the Eastern part of MA for the first time this Friday, at the Tyngsboro Sports Center in Tyngsboro, MA. They have 10 fights listed on their website, and tickets start at only $25.

Untamed 30 takes place this Friday, February 19 from White’s in Westport, MA. As always, the card has some solid fights and a couple veterans from a few years back are making their return to action.
